Step 1 of 6 Console Page: Active Workspace

Step 1: Workspace Setting

After signing up, you'll be taken to your Workspace Settings. Enter your company/brand name, upload logo, and enter admin email accurately. The brand name will appear in OTP emails sent to your users, while admin email receives billing, security, and account notifications. Add your business address and tax details correctly to generate compliant invoices.

Step 3 of 6 Console Page: API Keys

Step 3: Generate Cryptographic API Keys

We use a dual-key architecture. Copy your keys once and store them securely—they will never be visible again in the console until you regenerate new (by using Roll Keys).

Standard Secret Keys

These keys begin with ath_sec_live_. They are strictly for backend applications (Node.js, Express, Next.js Server Actions) where they will never be publicly exposed.

These keys begin with rk_live_. They are designed to control and limit usage where keys are exposed, such as React SPAs, Webflow, or Wix site builders.

Step 4: Sandbox Testing for OTP

Before integrating Authepy in your platform, validate your API keys in the Interactive Sandbox. Send an OTP to your email address and verify it in real time to confirm your credentials are working correctly.

Step 5: Monitor Logs & Quotas

Transparency is vital. The Request Logs section will show all the OTPs that have been dispatched and verified using your keys, along with their exact status and latency in real time.
